Rooted Theater Company is seeking no more than 15-Minute Plays of any genre (comedy, drama, etc.) that encourage social consciousness, celebrate the diversity of our communities, our present struggles and future successes; Plays must be socially relevant.

Submission Guidelines
artists may submit no more than two 15 Minute Pieces.
Plays may be no longer than 20 pages, exclusive of title and character pages
Plays must contain no more than 4 characters
Set, props and costume requirements should be minimal
Script title page should include play title
playwrit’s info, and a short summary of the play and how it relates to rooted’s mission and vision should only be included in the email body, and not in the script
Plays must be submitted in PDF format
To submit your piece, please email info@RootedTheaterCo.org with the subject “SUBMISSION: your name and the title of your piece” (i.e. SUBMISSIONS: Jane Doe – “title”)
If submitting more than one play, please send each in a separate email.
Submissions are due no later than August 19, 2019 @12pm EST.
No late entries will be accepted; No exceptions.
Playwrights whose scripts have been selected, will be notified on or about by September 1, 2019.
